Frank Schmauk, Ph.D.
Dr. Schmauk earned his doctoral degree from Temple University and while working as a Psychologist at Norristown State Hospital conducted important, award winning research in the area of psychopath. He founded the region's first alternative school (Middle Earth) and later led the creation and development of Mathom House.

He has maintained a primary interest in Forensic Psychology and Juvenile Delinquency, has conducted evaluations for the Bucks County Juvenile Court for 35 years, and is a member of numberous professional organizations.Dr. Schmauk is past recipient of the Juvenile Corrections Professional of the Year award granted by the Pennsylvania Association of Probation, Parole and Corrections.

 

Donald J. Tangora, Ph.D.
Dr. Tangora is a Criminologist with more than 35 years experience in the juvenile and criminal justice systems. His primary career interest has been in juvenile justice. However, he also has direct treatment experience with adult probation and parole clients. Dr. Tangora is past Director of the Pennsylvania Assocation of Probation, Parole and Corrections.

In collaboration with Dr. Schmauk and others, he played a prominent role in the founding of Mathom House, a residential treatmen t facility established for the treatment of adjudicated adolescent sexual offenders. Dr. Tangora also played a lead role in the development of other juvenile justice projects, most iportantly Bucks County's Youth Aid Panels. Dr. Tangora earned his Ph.D. from the University of Delaware and Master's Degree in Counseling and Human Relations from Villanova University.

 

David K. Attryde, M.S., LPC
Mr. Attryde is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 15 years experience treating juvenile and adult sexual offenders and providing Forensic Evaluations in Bucks County. He has been the Director of Mathom House for the past 4 years. He has facilitated group and individual counseling to mandated and voluntary clients in private practice.

He has a Master's Degree in Counseling and Human Relations from Villanova University. He has provided training to juvenile probation departments and child welfare agencies focusing on sex offender supervision and treatment. He is a Nationally Certified Counselor and a clinical member of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers.

 

Jay Deppeler, M.Ed.
Mr. Deppeler has been completeing Forensic Evaluation and facilitating individual and group sex-offense-specific treatment for the past 8 years in Bucks and surrounding counties. He has a Master's Degree in Counseling and Human Services from Lehigh University. His areas of interest include Violence Risk and Threat Assessment, sex-offender evalutation and treatment, psychopathy and working with the mandated client.

Mr. Deppeler has provided expert psychological evaluation to the Bucks County Criminal Court aiding in the assessment and disposition of clients. He also serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of VITA in Doylestown. He initiated the development of the Pennsylvania State Chapter of ATSA. He has provided training for the Bucks County Juvenile Probation Office, the Delaware Valley Coalition of Probation and Parole, and the Bucks County C&Y. Trainings regard intimate partner violence, anger management, and sex offender supervision and treatment.
